  1. HI PPL
I am quite new to all this so i was wandering if anyone could help me to put a dvd rip onto a cd to play on my dvd player. I am not sure what format it needs to be in. I have worked out how to convert movies from one format to another but the rest I have no idea about.
    Thanks Guys

BTW: Seems like alot of people are missing the guides, as most questions can be answered in there. Maybe there should be links at the top of every forum index incase someone missed it the first time around.

  3. thanks, I worked out how to convert the files and burn them to cd using nero. However i go to play them on my dvd player and I get a black screen and the timer runs faster than it should. My dvd is cd-r, cd-rw and vcd compatible. It displays that it is a vcd2.0. Is this problem in my dvd or the way i have burnt it, the file is mpeg-2 and i am doing it as an xvcd.
    Please help

Since my dvd player can not play SVCD, I have to do a XVCD as well, when I want mpeg2.
Video MPEG-2, any resolution, any bitrate, VBR or CBR.
    Audio MPEG-1 Layer-2 44,1kHz, any bitrate.
multiplexed with TMPG as MPEG-1 Video-CD(non-standard).
burnt with nero as Video-CD (leave "create standard compliant CD" unchecked).
