    Why can't I see or choose my own avatar.... Some people keep talking about them but I can't see them....

    It seems to be the avatars(probably the avatars uploading) that cause the forum crashes...I'm not sure yet but the forum hasn't crashed in 4 days now. I also tested enable them but it crashed a few hours after that so I disable them again.

    Yep, use to get that problem with uploads, I found that linking to a URL was OK.

    yeah. I once tried to upload a 450 byte image and it said it was too large.

    Baldrick, apart from the upload limit. Have you set the server upload via tmp, and the total amout that can be stored on the server. (Safe mode)

    I think the avatars add a certain level of individualism to the forum. It kinda makes everyone standout a little more.

    Baldrick, how's the new forum setup going? Can we expect a change anytime soon.

    KingJohn: it isnt't the avatars that causes the crashes because the forum crashed while the avatars were offline...so I have no idea why the forum crashes again.

    I haven't had much time to fix the new forum yet and I'm not sure if I will use it(it depends if this forum keeps crashing)...the conversion from phpbb is kinda tricky even though it exists automatically scripts.

    Tell me about it, you just finish tweaking everything, getting it all working as you want it, then they release a new Beta, and then the Final.

    I was happy with RC4 it worked very well with some MODS. But as soon as the final was out, I uploaded it and god, had to start all over again....

    Well Its nice to see some new items, but I think its best to stick with what you have working, and just use a MOD, that way you can at leased spot the problem.

    The Avarters was a big problem for me, and in the end I just linked to them, but there is so many other bugs in the release I wonder why they rushed it out... Bit of rivalry with other boards I think

    AND The forum stinks say the wrong thing about it, and the mods jump on you
