  1. Hi guys, I am a complete noob here. Yes I have read every guides here about converting dvd to divx but they're for the older version and not the new version. I have searched the forum for posts similar to this but still no good. So can anyone here tell me what tools I need to convert a dvd(black hawk down) to divx, using the latest version and instructions to do it. Thx

  2. Easiest for newbies is to use DVDx and DivX 5.02 codec. Install the codec, install DVDx, play a few seconds of your DVD to unlock it, start DVDx, select the movie and additional options, select output to AVI, select Divx Codec, press start and wait....

oh so you're telling me to download dvdx, is this free or it'll cost me money?, and then use dvdx to load up black hawk down. Then go to the additional options tab and select that avi option and then decode it like that? Then use divx to encode it right? If so can you go into details on how to do that, I'm starting to get it but I'll need more info, thx .

You can find DVDx anywhere on the net. V2.0 is $ 12 to get.
Please read the FAQ's and the newbie's forums on how to use DVDx. It's explained everywhere, so I hope you understand I won't go into detail on that
