  1. I followed every step on the subtitles for MPEG files guide without any problems until I got to the part where I had to convert the .vdr file with TMPGEnc. It won't open it and gives me this message that says, "This application has failed to start because MSVCR70.dll was not found." Is there any advice you could give me? E-mail me at ps2guy525@yahoo.com

  3. I have found the dll file and put it in there right, but now it keeps saying that it cannot open the .vdr or it is not supported. HELP!

  4. You have to put the dll file in windows/system32. It worked with me.

  5. ive had a similar problem with brothrhood of the wolf
when you open the file you want to frameserve in vdub does it come up with a warning about the sound if it does this is what causes the prob in tmpgenc to get round it
you need to save the avi files sound as wav
save the avi itself as an avi file with NO SOUND use whatever divx code you want it to be
you should be able to go through the frameserve process using the file with no sound and should have no probs with tmpgenc

the easiest way to see if this is the problem is to only save a few minutes of it with no sound and try it if it works your laughing if it dont youve not wasted 3hrs re-encode a file

  6. Sound like AC3 or MP3 VBR is probably to blame.

You can use a utility called GSPOT
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/gspot.html

It will tell you the codecs usec by your file. From there get the proper version of Virtual Dub to extract the audio to a wav file, then use the resulting wav as the audio source for your rip.

Another bit of advice: make sure to uncheck the DirectShow filters in the VFAPI settings if you are frameserving VDR to TMPGENc.
