Playing DIVX DVDs on computer?

Hi, I am a newbie and I received a couple of Divx movies (at the back it says "visit us at www.divx.com so I don't think these are Circuit City Divx.) I downloaded the Divx Player 2.0 but I can't play the movie. The discs have four directories in each disc (ECCTRANA, ECCTRANB, VIDEO_TS, ZOOM) but the player could not find a video file to play. Windows Media Player says " "You have attempted to play a Divx disc in a DVD player not equipped with the Divx feature. The Divx feature is require to play this disc. Call 888-456-DIVX for info" (I did but could not get through.) Thanks for any help or advice.

sounds like Circuit City disks, wont play in your DVD player
