Region Hack for Samsung DVD S224 Standalone player

Greetings,

Happy as I was, I found a cheap good DVD player. As I have seen several different mods to Samsung players, I thought that changing regions on this one would be just as easy, but MAN I was wrong.

I have been looking for a way to change the region(make region free) on my DVD player now for weeks. No luck, so I am desperate.

Is there anyone who knows how to make my DVD player region free/change the region on it ?

It is a Samsung s224 DVD player, and the region is 2

Another question as well. I will try all the other hacks for Samsung DVD players that is in this forum. Many of them says this and this - now you will be able to play dvd's from all regions. How do I know this without buying a Region 1 to test it with ? Its not very fun to go out and buy a DVD movie if the hack wont work at all. Do you get any confirmation when you have entered the hack for example ? Or are you just forced to buy a dvd and test it ?
