  1. I was trying to perform the following:
An aviscript from Premiere 6 to VDub and frameserve to TMPEG. Below is the list of software and version numbers:
    Premiere 6
    AVISynth 0.3
    VirtualDub 1.4c
    TMPEG 12a

VDub recognized the AVS file from Premiere.
Started the frameserver to export to TMPEG
When loading the VDR file in TMPEG, VDub crashed hardcore

Is this possible to perform? Has anyone else successfully done it? Reasons why I'm trying it is that I have made a DV capture, I'm want to use Premiere to add some effects, use VDub to perform some filtering and then encode to SVCD MPEG2 with TMPEG without requiring a temp video file in between.

Thanks in advance to your responses.

  2. i'd say skip vdub... use the filters from avisynth and tmpgenc...

  3. The problem wasn't actually with VDub in the end. It was with AVISynth 0.3. That version ended up being too buggy. I downloaded version 1.0Beta31 and everything is working as how I expected.

Now I can edit the AVI and add some classy effects with Premiere, take advantage of the awesome filtering capabilities of VDub and encode to SVCD via TMPEG all in one motion, and without utilizing an in-between avi.

Life could not get any sweeter.

Thanks to your response anyways resnullius.

    Have a good day.
