  1. Hello,

    I'm looking for a piece of software that can read a burned (S)VCD and give info about the details.

    I have tried Bitrate Viewer but where I am sure the movie is MPEG2 BV tells me it's MPEG1....... Also it doesn't tell anyting about Audio 44.1 or 48 Hz...
    I also tried a program MPEGProperties100 but that one mostly misses a lot of info. Sometimes it only has an AudioTab...
    Besides that I also tried BBTools, FlasK, TMPGenc etc...
    But none of them work or give the right 100% sure information.

    All info I want to get is;
    - Video Bitrate
    - VBR or CBR
    - MPEG 1 or MPEG2
    - Resolution
    - Audio 44.100 or 48.000
    - Audio BitRate

    There must be a piece of software that can give me the info about a mpg that's already burned as SVCD/VCD/CVD and work under Windows XP (eventually 98 or ME).
    Please if you know soch a piece of software I am very interested to know where to find/download it.

    Thanx
    Mars-L

    You are looking for a little proggy called "bitrate viewer" its shareware and I think you will find it at DOOM9.org. It gives you some of what you are looking for.........+ if you use Ulead Mediastudio it gives you the rest.
    + another way is good old TMPGenc -Mpeg tools -DE-MUX -load up your MPEG and you will see whats in it..........

  4. TMPGenc does seem to do the job through Demux indeed. Still not all SVCD's are being recognized as MPEG2
