ok...i'm sure this question has been answerd several times already but...i can't seem to fin d the answer....
to encode to svcd..(480x480) does the source need to be 480x480 ..?
i have an divx witch is 640x272...can i convert this to a svcd without a great loss of quality?
i tried to convert it with TMPGEnc to a vcd and when saw it on my dvd it was fullscreen and perfect quality...why?
i can't figure it out....?
i need some help on this one....

No your source doesn't have to be 480x480 or larger but it would be better if it was. Its not a good idea to raise the resolution if possible. The result is that the picture gets very blurry and any artifacts already present in the video will get much larger as well.
