    Does anybody know a freeware viodeoplayer (avi, mpg) that allows to capture images from the clip ?

    Why not use Virtual Dub, it can save images from any AVI/Mpeg

    With Virtual Dub ist only posssible to copy images to the clipboard, so i have to use other programms to paste the clipboard and save to image to disk. this is very uncomfortable.

    Use Vdub to save a small section, then Load AVI into "Animation Shop 3" it comes with PaintShop Pro, then you can save them in any format.
