  1. I was following one of the newbie guides when I got to the encoding part. I loaded TMPGEnc (plus, 2.55.38), then selected my d2v and wav files and all of the settings specified in the guide. Then when I try to encode, I get "Write error occurred at address 77F52CD0 fo module 'ntdll.dll' with 0001FFFE". I have tried it with a different version of TMPGEnc and still the same thing. I have even tried it with an avi file and at least it started encoding (sure, it looked like crap in the end, but I think that might be something different).

If I hit 'ok' and try to start again, I get "The error occurred when ACM was initialized."

    Any thoughts?

  2. what are your machine specifics, OS etc.... it runs fine for me on widows 2000 and xp on two seperate machines. sound like an NT module problem or a bug in tmpgenc. try using the tmpgenc bbs on their site to post this "bug" if it's a bug.

  4. The ACM message refers to the windows Audio Compression Manager which is used to decode or encode audio using the audio codecs you have installed on your system. You might want to reinstall your audio codecs. If you know which codec your are using then go into the control panel. Choose sound & multimedia. If you cycle through the tabs you should find a list of audio codecs. If you look at the properties of each codec you will have the option to increase the priority of each one. For example if you are using an MP3 codec then increase the priority to 1.

    This usually resolves this issue.

  5. Tried that, and it didn't work. Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling all of my codecs. Still the same error. Starting to really piss me off.
