  1. I'm looking for a good program to convert avi to mpeg, any suggestions?

    Also, when using lsx encoder, when u get the message that the audio stream isn't supported, how do u rip it out of there and convert it wav then multiplex back into the mpeg video stream? thanx.

    TMPGenc is the best free one available.

  5. TmpGenc is definatley the best encoder for the price. Many people say CCE is better at higher bitrate mpeg2 but it is flaky and I have never had any success with it. Stick with TmpGenc, its free, produces good quality output and has lots of users on this board who can provide loads of help and advice
