i read that to solve jerkiness, you can set the VBV buffer to 112 or 0 (automatic) on Kwag's template.
was wondering what kinds of effect would this have on the filesize/stability of the video?
thanks

ahh, why don't you just try it?
.
.
you don't HAVE to encode a whole movie. . . just a 1 minute section, then
burn it and play it on your dvd player. Too many dvd players out their,
and too many different settings per person's taste, etc. to give you an
deffinate type of answer. You just have ta try it yourself and see if it
affects your dvd playing. Only you can know this for sure.

for lastest sample(s) of VCD clips, see VHELPs VCD Samples -
Best is setting VBV to 224 in Tmpeg (which is mpeg2 maximum), second is to use the automatic option (0 ).
But some players canīt handle the 0-setting ...
