Help with Mpeg

hi, i have a problem with my Mpeg movie. I was downloading a file and i stopped the transfer with only 24 seconds in the movie. I then resumed the transfer and got at least 37 min of the movie. WHen i play the file, the scroll that skips to other parts of the movie only goes up to 24 seconds, once the scroll reaches close the end, it stops and the movie keeps playin, and i am not able to skip to parts after 24 seconds, is there a way to fix the mpeg ?? thanks for your help.

try demultiplexing it and then re-multiplexing it using a different file name. TMPGEnc does this very fast and very well...
