CAN ANY1HELP I USED THE MANUAL VBR SETTING(ON TMPGE)I WAS CREATING A VCD(THE PERFECT STORM)THE QUALITY WAS STUNNING BUT THE THE OUTPUT FILE WAS 1.73GB,THE FILM IS ON FOR 2AND BIT HOURS,BUT IF I KEEP THE FILM I WOULD HAVE TO USE A SHIT LOAD OF DISCS,I WANT TO KEEP IT TO 2 DISCS,SO WHAT AM ASKING IS WHAT WILL THE BEST SETTING FOR THIS OR WILL I HAVE TO CHANGE TO A DIFF RATE CONTROL MODE,THE SETTINS ON( MVBR)WAS 3000KBITS/SEC.CAN I TURN THIS DOWN AND STILL MAITAIN QUALITY AND FIT IT TO 2 CDS,AND WHAT WILL I TURN IT DOWN TOO

honestly, i've thought about the same thing, but you have to compromise somewhere, and I'd rather have a nice backup on 3 cds than 2 or 1 cd. use TMPGENC to split up the files into 2-3 cds. The perfect storm should come out in nice quality on 3 cds for SVCD and 2 cds for VCD using a bitrate and VBR 2 pass and high quality motion search and a bitrate of about 2100->2300 should suffice.

thanks for that,i turned it down to 1500kps/sec and got good quality and was able to put it on 2 cds,so the next film i do is about 1h30min ,i will up the birate and achieve maxium quality and fit it on 2 cds..........
