  1. Why can I not read the output file from Cinemacraft? The file has data, but the extension is nowhere to be found, I can't figure what type of output it is. I assumed it would be Mpeg2 file bun win dvd will not open it. Can anyone help me? I'm using the test download from CCE to demo before I buy it.

If you are talking about the .M2V file, right click on it and the OPEN WITH... then select Windows Media Player (provided, of course, that you have the required CODECs installed). These files have to be registered with Windows before you can just double click on them.

  3. I'm new to this as well. I hope this works: you need to do a pulldown.exe on the output file. Rename it to .m2v and use pulldown.

  5. when you start CCE, and edit the options (bitrate, passes.......) there is also a place for where to save the files. if you are doing ES it will give you seperate video and seperate audio files. if you do PS it will combine and give you mpg. to see what it is going to save, look at where it is going to save it and is also tells what filename and extension its saving it as.

if its mpeg-2 then you will need a DVD player to view the file, and if its m2v or mpv then there will be no sound.

  6. I'm looking at CCE for the first time and wondering if the output files are split into vid and aud,do you have to mux them yourself?
Am i missing something that does that automatically?
Is there options settings to change video arrange methods etc?

  7. if you plan on using CCE I suggest you at least go to their website and look at the manual. it explains all of this. in the pic below if you have ES selected you get seperate files and muxing has to be done, if you select PS the output is muxed and an mpg. most people prefer to not let CCE do the audio though.
