    Chances are this substitution for the good Apex player I got yesterday from Compusa is bunk, but I thought I'd ask.

    The DMTech DM-2000 seems to play the SVCD video portion fine, but skips during audio playback. Plays VCDs and DVDs flawlessly.

    What i have found is that the DM-2000 will play SVCD's at 2520 compliant bitrate. It seems to have a problem with variable bitrates.
