I have read all threads dedicated to the synch problem, but it seems that none of them really match my case, cuz they are all about ripping/DivX type of conversion.
I have a project from my DV camera, that I encoded by CCE through VDub where I resized the video from 856x480 to 720x480. The video was encoded by pieces (you may read it in one of my previous posts), which I later combined usind Womble DVD2VCR. Then I took the audio track in my Premiere 6 project without any changes, saved it as a .WAV file, and encoded it to AC3. In the final DVD project which I created using Maestro, audio was out of synch. Two things here. When I watch the length of my mpv file in a Maresto project, it shows a different length as compared with a Premiere project (because of DVD2VCR joining?) by 5 seconds. When I anyway put the resulting ac3 file into the Maestro, the difference is shown as 5 frames only. However the multiplexed mpg has a problem with synch over a second at the end of the 1-hour movie, no problem being noted in the beginning (a stretched synch problem).
What would your suggestions be? Saving a WAV through VDub? Reducing the WAV to match the mpv file's length? Anyone had a similar problem solved? Thanks!
