I have both TMPEnc 12a & 2.5 on my PC. I find that 2.5 will not open some of the files that 12a does and I can't figure out why.
For example I tried to open an MJPEG AVI file create with my Matrox G400 TV and it comes up with the error can not open, or unsupported. Now when I try V12a it opens all my AVIs fine??
This is the error I get:
I also noticed that I don't seem to be able to open projects (*.d2v) created with DVD2AVI in TMPEnc V2.5
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Best Regards
Amelia

have you tried change the directshow reader prirority?

Yes I did, but I can't understand how one version works and the other doesn't. I even copied the [VFAPI] settings from 12a to 2.5 in the TMPGENC.ini file and it didn't work. For some unknown reason it doesn't seem to like my MJPEG Avi files from my Matrox card.
I made a mistake in my previous post, it does work fine with DVD2AVI projects (It pays not to rename the folder).
Now here is a really strange thing I discovered: When I tried to encode a SVCD from a miniDV file created with Premier it comes up with the same error, now if I file serve the it from Premier it works fine??
