I am following to instructions to extract audio (http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm#audio) with no luck.
I am using VirtualDub 1.4.10 and when I try File->Save WAV (after all the previous steps) I get this error message:
The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format.
Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input
match those of the requested format.
Is there any missing part in the instructions? I've tried it with several Divx files.
Thanks a lot.

This is usually due to AC3, multichannel (5.1?) or VBR encoded audio in the divx avi. Look to the guides on this site for details on how to handle this.
