  1. My friend sent me some VCDs, but I can't watch them on my DVD player. I need to convert them to MPEG, AVI, MOV, or QT so I can burn them to DVD. Anyone know of a program that will do this?

Nope ...It may output pal if your original file is in pal format.
Its just taking the dat and converting back to mpg.....an mpg could be pal or ntsc.
You can also use TMPG for this... then you can set out put to whatever format ya want....but TMPG would have to reencode....that takes a while..
Where as VCDgear takes maybe 5 minutes.
