  1. I have a huge mpeg 2 file - svcd (2.76 gb). I want to split this movie across 4 cds. I used Mpeg tools in tmpgenc to cut the file, but the ouput was messed up. The output wasn't as long as I specified it to be and the audio was missing for the last 2 minutes.

How can I split this movie to span 4 cds? Is there any other program besides tmpgenc that can cut mpegs? I don't know what I'm doing wrong with tmpgenc since I've successfully cut movies using mpeg tools before.

    Help is appreciated. Thank you.

    try this:
    1) demultiplex with TMPG.
    2) remultiplex with BBMPG, but set the max file size to 790MB(for 80 min CDs)
it will multiplex, and split by filesize to fill your discs to the rim
what are you askin' me for...
    I'm an idiot!
