    If I use a scan converter can I record the movie on my VCR? If I hook up the VCR to the TV will it capture from the TV?

    Sure, why not - It's been converted to a normal video stream after all.
    You might want to adjust your display resolution to get a close match so the scan converter doesn't have to resize the video to much - many of them are lousy resizers.
    Just make sure you play the movie with a full-screen capable player. See the TOOLS section if you don't already have one.
