  1. I am following the guide on this site on how to bring a steadily unsynching audio/video into synch. It says to split the video and audio files and open the resulting audio MP2 file in Sound Forge. My version of SF which is 6 will open MP3 files but not MP2 files. Anyone have any ideas, does any program save the audio as an MP3 file or is there a way to get Sound Forge to open an MP2 file?
    Thanks Guys

Vdub will save the audio as a MP3 from a AVI movie, however it is best saved as a WAV (Uncompressed) to be used later from e conversion to mpeg with TMPGEnc

If the saved WAV needs enhancements, use www.goldwave.com
Gold wave will also load the audio from a AVI movie
