I've got 8 gigs (38 minutes) of Drag Racing captured onto to my HD from my digital camera (ZR-20). I can play the video directly off the hard drive with media player,it's perfect. But converting it to mpg (DVD) the audio is very muffled, the voices sound like it's in slow motion, although the engine noise sounds good. I'm using Tempg. Help.

Go ahead and check the guides on the left side to make sure all your settings are right, then if you still have problems let us know some specifics about your encoding situation (bitrates, etc)

Are you converting it from DV AVI - to AVI - to MPEG? if so why not just convert DV to MPEG.

Well, good question the capturing software changed it to AVI.. but there really is no requirement.. the end reslut for me is DVD-R anyway...
Thanks for the input!
