  1. i have a svcd of undercover brother that is 2 cds and when i try to burn with nero with a cd-r there is an error but when i tried to burn w/cd-rw at 2x speed it worked but when i played it on my dvd player the quality was like static and the soudn was cuttign in and out.... what should i do?? i have a magnavox mdv450 video player... i just got it today.. it says it can play vcd.. svcd... and dvd and mp3... i kno it works because i played a vcd i have on it and it worked fine... what should i do???

    Sounds like a media problem. Just because your dvd player supports vcds or svcds that doesn't mean it can read your cdr/w disk. Try and burn using the same cdr/w media that the working vcd was burnt on. You can also check the dvd compatibility listing on this site to see which brands of media work best on your player.

    As far as the cdr burning returning an error, its probably just a fluke. Its possible you found a brand of media that your burner just isnt very compatible with. Its rare but it does happen. There is no reason why a svcd should burn fine on cdrw and not on cdr.
