Hello.

I have an ASUS 7700 Deluxe card which I think works
flawlessly for my video capturing needs. However I
am having one problem.

When I capture in PAL everything looks and works
more or less EXACTLY as I expect it to. However I
also have A LOT of NTSC tapes lying around that I
was planning to capture using the ASUS 7700 deluxe
card...

The VCR I have (A Panasonic HD-660) outputs a PAL60
quasi PAL signal (60 Hz NTSC with PAL 4.43 color
carrier).

The ASUS should support this video mode as it has
an option reading "NTSC 4.43PAL" in its source
settings. So I set it to this option for video
capturing (also 30 frames per second etc.) and
it works absolutely great -- except NO COLOR.
Since setting it to NTSC 4.43 it SHOULD pick
up the color too if everything works logically.

I am using composite signal to capture. Does
anyone here know how to get around this problem.
Why would ASUS put an option in there specific
to NTSC 4.43 (another way to call PAL60) and
then have it NOT WORK. I wrote them about it
and hasn't heard ANYTHING from them - but
according to this forum it is nothing to be
surprised over...

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ONE. Should I use a
different video transfer mode for keeping the
colors or what? I don't understand what it is
that I am doing wrong here... It is really
quite confusing...
