    Hello,

I have followed the all in one guide to convert DIVX to VCD.
The conversion id going fine but, on the final VCD file, the video is way much darker than the original file, at a point that certain scenes (during the night for ex) are just a big black screen.
WHat should I do please ?

    Thank you

    Beuz

You need to see if it looks ok on your TV, if you change the brightness during conversion, it can lower the quality, and might look too bright on your TV.

It is easy to change the brightness in TMPGEnc, just hit the settings button, then the advanced TAB. There you will see "Simple colour correction" You can adjust the settings while viewing the dark frames, don't add too much.

Surely increasing the brightness on the TV will be better ?, if the movie is so dark, it cannot be improved, if there is nothing there to improve !

  6. I think increasing the 'Gamma' is better then increasing the 'brightness'

You would increase the gammer, if the gammer needed increasing. You would increase the brightness if the brightness needed increasing.

I'm sure with all those sliders, your going to move them all
