  1. Ok I formatted my hard drive and I downloaded version 4x of the Pinnacle PCTV PRO drivers now it is telling me that the card is in use and the damn thing aint in use at all..

Is there any other drivers APART from the 5x series that actually work on windows XP AT ALL?

    Thanks

Those are ALL third party drivers I want drivers that will allow me to tune in the card and use it through virtual dub. I don't want 3rd party drivers.

Also those drivers that you told me are all crap they do not work with PCTV Pro and XP and Virtual dub waste of ******* time me even buying the card!

  4. I use the latest Pinnacle drivers (5.10) and use IuVCr to capture...
It works like a charm. Capture 480 x 576 or 720 x 576 with NO frames dropped and amazing picturequality. I used to use VirtualDub but it's no good with WDM drivers so I switched to IuVCR and am very glad with the results.

  6. First of all, if you got the Compusa deal on the PCTV Pro card, it is really the PCTV card with remote. This is different than the PCTV Pro and inportant if you are using the BTWINCAP. This will work with XP, I am using it. Also, if you are looking for a one stop, go to Best Buy and get Studio 7 from Pinnacle for about $30 and a rebate for $20 (approximate). This will allow you to capture with ease.

To get BTwincap to install, use the autodetect - should work fine.

To get the the latest version of pinnacle drivers to work, you must follow their directions exactly. The best bet is to first uninstall everything, then restart windows. Do NOT let windows install anything! Cancel, cancel, etc. Then run the latest install from Pinnacle and ignore the warnings from XP this should work.

Also, 3rd party drivers will not work with the Pinnacle TvPC app (PCTV Vision). It is looking for the OEM drivers which you replaced. It sounds like you want an app which will tune channels, this is different than a driver to use the card. The app uses the driver to use the card.

For simplicity, use the Pinnacle drivers, and pinnacle apps. For better quality use other drivers and apps.
