  1. this is the first time i have ran into this problem but i know it can be solved...i have spiderman. its a 699mb file. its AVI 480x304 25fps...usually when i encode a movie i have no problem but this 25fps is throwing me off...i want to make it into a xvcd and i've tried a couple different things but my player won't play it...i know it has to do with it being 25fps...so how should i change this...i tried to change it to 29fps but that didn't work...does it have something to do with 3:2 pulldown? i have never encountered this before so help is appreciated...thanks............

  2. well i think and assume that you are using tmpge load the svcd template then load in the extra the unlock then you will be able to change the settings .
be sure to put 29.97 and i set the bit/rat to 2400 my dvd not support more than that .
you can put the resolution that you want it

    29.97 frame
    352x240 rez
    1600 bitrate
    audio 44100 at 160bps

    this should do ya using 2 - 80min. CD-R's.

  4. i tried exactly what you said thxkid except at 1500...the problem is when i play it back in my dvd player(APEX AD-600a) it will play but it has no sound, millions of scrambled blocks at the top half of the screen and the APEX logo on the bottom half of the screen...my player will play xvcd's cause i do them all the time so it must be something in the encodeing process that i am not doing correctly...i use the movie as the source for video and i extracted the wave from it useing vdub then use the wave file as the audio track..yes i am useing TMPGE to encode and yes the finished file plays fine on my pc, its just when it goes to the dvd player it won't play.......thanks...........
