  1. How do I play a downloaded vcd from my hard drive? the file is an MPEG but my Windows Media player say it does not support the file type and spits out this error Error ID = 0x80040265, Remedy ID = 0x00000000 Can anyone help?

  2. you need to get codecs, or a new version of media player.

    divx mpeg-4, divx alpha 3.11 should work.

    Those codec's are for AVI not VCD Mpeg, visit Microsoft update and install the new Media Player.

    vcd mpegs are mpeg1 which should play on any computer...

    Is this a cd image file (e.g. .bin, .cue, .toc, ...)?...

    If so use daemon tools to mount the image as a virtual vcd and play it using wmplayer

    They dont as standard, any MS media player update will fix this problem.
