problem extracting wav from avi in virtual dub

i go through all the process as described in all guides. it starts converting and goes through the motion. it finishes but when i check the wav file it is not complete??? just tried dragonfly and it only converted 41:00 mins of it. i thought it may have been a bad divx so i tried another film that just converted 39 mins. i have checked all the settings but i cannot find anything . thanks in advance for any advice.

Problem sorted, IT WAS ME!!!!!. i had direct stream enabled in the audio options and not full processing mode!!!!
