  1. I am using DVDx and Nero 5.5 to create SVCD's from a DVD. I have a Scott 838 stand alone player. Everything is going ok, the quality is realy good and it is easy to create these SVCD's.

I have only one problem: While playing i can't use the forward and backward function. The movie is then looping, and when pressing the play button then the audio is out of sync.

I think it is a problem with Nero..... Anyone to help me?

  2. I had the same FF/REW problem with SVCDs until I did a few things. First, always mux the final video with BBmpeg as it is the only multiplexer that creates truly compliant streams. Second, Nero still does not seem able create a correct SCANDATA.dat file. To fix the SCANDATA problem I recommend using VCDEasy, it solved the FF/REW problem as well as being able to still use the time search feature on my Apex. Hope that helps.

  3. Use DVD2svcd. This program uses the bbmepg. put in the dvd, and the output is 2 or 3 cue/bin files. I burn the image with nero at full speed. ff/rew is good, you can skip chapters...
