    Search PM
    Some avi files I downloaded lately now suddenly freezes up when started to play. Why's that??
    I've installed the latest divx 5
    Other avi i just can play.

    They have bad frames.

    Load into Vdub select Video > Scan video stream for errors.
    Next select video > streaming Audio > streaming
    And SAVE AS

    Save out another copy, Vdub will skip the bad frames on save.
