  1. Are svcds all standard in all their settings? I am asking because i have tried and tried to convert over a movie with different programs to svcd and my home dvd player wont play it and it will play another one that is on the same brand of disc. Is there anyway to tell all the settings of the movie that works on my home dvd player with a program so i know what the dvd player requires?

Have you checked for your player on the DVDVplayers list?
