  1. I am using Pinnacle Studio DV to process my home movies from DV, and when I make the movie as an mpg for vcd, or mpg2 for svcd, and then try to burn it with VCDEasy, I get the message "VCDxBuild.exe execution failed input mpeg stream has been deemed invalid--aborting". Why doesn't VCDEasy like my Pinnacle Studio DV mpegs?

  2. There's probably something wrong with them.

If you use VCDEasy, you can use it as a GUI for the tool VCDXMINFO. Run your MPEG-2 file through it to see what it says...

  4. My mpegs play fine using Media Player, and I can burn the mpegs as a normal file to a cd and play them in any other computer. I have used TMPGEnc to encode to mpeg after making a movie as an avi, and had success with that, but that means an extra step involving about 4 more hours. Also, the trial version of Nero had no problems, and I will probably purchase Nero if that's the solution. I'm just "cheap", and don't want to part with my money.

  5. I'll try the VCDXMINFO and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the input!
