  1. I got a TV Wonder card for my birthday. I have the following system:

    Pentium 4 2.2
    120 gig hard drive 7200rpm
    512 megs RAM
    Windows XP
    GeForce 4 64meg

So, I'm wondering what people think the best software/drivers are to install with the card. Anyone using thsi with a similar setup? I'm going to use it mostly for capturing VHS, LD, etc to MPEG2.

    Thanks for any help

  2. Save yourself a headache and take it back! I just went through the whole nightmare for the last three days and I finally took it back - you can get it to partially work but its not worth it - the hardware is fine the software sucks - ATI doesn't do XP very well - get a WINtv .
Ok - you got me - i dont know anything - you happy now!

You may need to re-install the OS. But only if you can not find a PCI slot where the TV card does not share an IRQ. Also you will want to try iuVCR (don't have the link handy, but a quick search should find it for you). It was the only thing that let me capture at XXXx480, but to AVI. you might want to try powerVCR2 v.3, but only if no IRQ conflicts with a "normal" OS install. If your TV Wonder came in a box labeled NTSC only (like mine did) you may not want to bother with all the custom BT8x8 drivers. None of those worked with mine. They all killed the tuner, even though the drivers should work with it.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
