I have a Pinnacle Studio PCTV Rave capping card.
When i cap anything with virtualdub and play it later with windows media player, there is no sound. I have tried everything, reinstalling drivers, configuring settings etc. but nothing seems to help.

Is the line-in enabled in the recording mixer?
Is your line-in port getting an audio signal?
Are you capturing from the tuner or the video-in?
Does it make a difference?
What OS & driver type (wdm or vfw) are you using?
Does any other capture app get sound?
Do you hear sound while its recording? -
yes the line-in is enabled. i've checked it several times.
i've been trying to capture from TV and videocassette. No sound for both.
I have w2k and use vfw drivers.
Yes, the default application that came with my card (PCTV Vision, I believe) does have sound after capturing but when I try avi_io or Virtualdub I get no sound after capturing.
Yes, I hear sound perfectly when i'm recording, but after when i activate the recorded file, it's absolutely mute.
