I had a really slow computer before to make vcds and svcds. They turned out really good, but it just took forever. So I'm upgrading my sytem and was wondering if anyone can possible guess or know how long it will take to make a vcd or svcd. Here's gonna be my new system:
AMD Athlon 1.1 Ghz
256MB SDRAM PC133
Is that really all you need to know for this question? I can post the rest of course, but I don't really think it would be necessary. Obviously I have a DVD and Re-writable and a large hard drive.

As a rough guide, I would calculate the multiplication factor between new system and old system.
I just upgraded my system, and had no clue on what the performance increase would be. But using the same parameters for my DVD conversion (on old and new system), it was something like:
750 Mhz = 442 minutes
1.8 Ghz = 155 minutes
1800 / 750 = 2.4 (rough estimate)
442 /155 = 2.8 (actual)
So 1800/750 = 2.4 and 442 min / 2.4 = 184 minutes.
