  1. I dont need any help. I thought I would share my story with everyone. I was backing up the movie cast away the other day and after DVD@AVI I noticed there wasnt a sound file. i am still new to this, so I realy didnt know what was wrong. So, I set the track number to #2 and did it again and ........voila..... it worked.
Well, the next day, I was backing up the movie family man, everything went fine. I started it in the morning and was done around 6pm at night, it wasnt always running, but it took all day regardless. well as i watched the mpg that tmpgenc produced I realized what an idiot i was because I forgot to set the track number back to one and my movie was in french. Therefore I had to reencode the entire movie again!
Try not to make this mistake at home after reading this people!!!!

  2. Actually you could have simply encoded the English sound track by itself and then remux it with the original encoded mpg file. Encoding audio should be fairly quick.

  3. how would I do that in tmpgenc? I understand what you mean, but how would i set the program to run that audio over the current one? can you split an mpg file up like that?
