  1. I was in the process of using TMPGEnc to convert my avi to mpg when my computer froze. What happened was I tried printing an e-mail i received during the conversion. Stupid move on my account, because now I have to manually shut down my computer.

Is my conversion totally lost, or is there some way I can start where I left off. If there is any way to do this I really appreciate it if someone fills me in on the procedure. I only had an hour left on it too!!

open the file you created and go to the end and see where it left off now go back to tmpge and press settings then advanced then check source range then double click source range now slide the bar to where it left off press the ( button then slide it to the end and press the ) button hit ok then start when its done merge them together or just burn them as two tracks

  3. Funny thing is, when I go to open the file now it says the format is not supported. When I look under properties the file size is 0 bytes. I have opened mpg files before, but only when i converted them to VCD. I have never opened them when converting to SVCD.

Is it the codec that I am missing, or did the file get corrupt when the computer froze?

  4. I just downloaded Windvd and still no good. I am getting a message that number 1 file is invalid. Any ideas what this means?

    Any info is greatly appreciated.
