Blockey pixels on SVCDs

Hi there i have a problem playing many of my movies on my Sony DVPNs700 player each time i pu some certain cds in the screen gets blockey and shows squares pixels this makes the sound crackly and go out of sync. Is it because some of my CD-R's are like 24x burn speed andim doing them to fast should i set it down slower will this clear the blockey problem?

I have the blockey problem, too. But only at the start of my SVCD's. And the crackley sound has been driving me nuts! I burn my cd's at 8x, so if anyone has a solution, I'd be glad to hear it, too.

some say to burn no faster than 4X to get the best burn of a movie for a console unit. try it if it dosent work then try other media at the lower speed.
