I've just changed my Voodoo 3 3500 16MB graphics card for a Creative Geforce 4 MX460 64MB.
I never used the capture facility on the Voodoo card, as it didn't support interlaced video, so I guessed just changing the graphics card wouldn't alter things.
However, now when I capture a 1 hour programme in AVI_IO I get 20 frame drops whereas I used to get either 8 or 9 every time. The author of AVI_IO suggested it might be the IRQ sharing, and in fact my WinTV card does share an IRQ with my new graphics card (just like the old one). The only thing is, neither of them will let me change the IRQ in device manager. Has anyone any tips that could help?
Nick
