I want to use the the intro song from series as background music for a VCD motion menu. I've already converted the file to MPEG and didn't think about using that intro song until recently. Unfortunately I no longer have the DVD. How can I extract just that part of the audio? What tools should I use?

I am not 100% sure but you could split sound and video (de-mux) and then just cut out sound that you want from the wav. It is probably easier to try to find the audio/music on a p2p or some other file sharing program.
Hope this helps

start from what VCD4 just said then open the mp2 sound file in a sound program like SF5 and it is easy to cut where you want to....
Bonne chance......
