  1. Is it possible to improve the quality of a source file? Say I have a copy of a movie in avi and it is not a good quality (to dark and blocky) or the sound is not very good. Are there any filters or templates that I can use to improve the quality of the original file? It doesn't necessarily have to be converted but I have all of the tools needed to do so (if it's neccessary). Normally I just play the movies on my pc with it hooked up to my tv through a scan converter. I have an enormous movie library on my pc but find that quite a few of them are barely watchable. Plzzz Help!

If the source is already bad and also compressed you can't do much. Crap in - Crap out.
