PROBLEM:
After making a project, I create a MS-DV1 .avi file. After this I try to export it back to the DV camcorder tape (using Ulead Media Studio Pro 6.5) and a firewire card. During this recording the computer stalls several times for a moment, 0.5-2 sec (this happens in average 1-2 times every minut), making "holes" in the tape (the camcorder pause every time and starts again, but holes are easily seen on the tape).
I thought that the reason was my relatively slow processor (400MHz), but checking the CPU usage during the recording (only 13%) makes me think that the problem is somewhere else. I have a fast brand new 7200rpm 60Gb maxtor hdd.
SPECS:
400MHz pentium II, 320Mb ram, 60GB Maxtor 7200rpm, firewire
Anyone got a clue?
Thanks for your help,
Ofelo
