  1. Is it normal when using this template it takes quite sometime to encode on TMPGenc? seems like it takes longer then the regular templates.

my file became 1.22 gb! is that normal?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. depends on what's in your template and the settings. VBR 2 pass takes twice as long as CBR since it encodes the file twice. you could also have high quality settings on for motion search etc.....

your file is probably 1.22 gigs because you didn't split the files using the source range setting in tmpgenc?

  3. i used kvcd template and had max 2000 min 500 CQ: 80

hmm thats all i changed... i didnt split it, i wwas thinking about splitting it after when its encoded to mpg. with merge/cut in TMPGenc.

    this is possible right?

  4. I have been encoding VCD's for a while now. I tried out the new template, and can see a difference, yet the picture has some obvious faults. I have seen people make reference to the CQ? I have searched the settings and cant seem to find where to fix that. Secondly, are there any filters I should add to improve the picture quality and make as close to dvd as possible?

    Thanks

playndirty101......it has been my experience to split the .avi (virtual dub) before you encode to avoid sync problems.
