ok i was trying put spiderman on a vcd. when i play the avi on my comp, everything is good. but when i convert it to mpg.. i get sound for the first 14secs, then it cuts out. any ideas?

Try saving the sound to a .wav using virtual dub......then encode your video using tmpgenc, thn mux the video and audio in tmpgenc mpeg tools.
