If you burned your disc with Easy CD Creator, you couldn't have made an SVCD. Easy CD Creator doesn't support the SVCD format. You have to burn SVCD with Nero.

He probably download a SVCD image create by I-Author. I-Author creates its SVCD images in the proprietary Easy CD Creator format (.CIF).

Fudge, I don't know the answer to your question but have you considered the possibility that your DVD player doesn't handle SVCDs properly after all??

If this is so, perhaps you could return your player if you only recently bought it -- and take your SVCD with you to test out other players.
