When I play the xvcd that I made (using CCE to encode, bbmpeg to mux) the total time is not displayed correctly in Hiteker dvd player.
It showed about double the actual total time. Does anyone know where the problem come from ? Is it because of encoding or muxing. I see nothing wrong with these so far.
CCE settings:
mpeg 1, CBR, avg bitrate = 3200, quality = 17, antinoise = 6, write sequence end code
BBmpeg settings:
mpeg-1, pack size = 2324, video buffer = 230

Happens on my Apex player too... Elapsed time seems correct, but Remaining time is usually off.

Philips DVD players show the playtime for an SVCD encoded at max SVCD bitrate, so for 74 min CD it's 37 minutes and for 90 min CD it's 45 minutes. You can have chapters and the time display, if you turn PBC off.

xvcd is not standard - you expect some dvd player programmer to anticipae us making wierd xvcds instead of standard discs?
You give the programmers too much credit.Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin' -
